Introduction
EasyMag® Viral/Pathogen DNA/RNA Kit is designed to use magnetic bead-based technology for rapid and reliable isolation of total nucleic acids from viruses, bacteria, and yeast in whole blood, serum, plasma, swabs, saliva, urine, and other bodily fluids. The kit combines the enhanced lysis/binding buffer formulation and reversible nucleic acid- binding properties of magnetic particles that provides the highest sensitivity in viral/pathogen DNA/RNA recovery. Viral/Pathogen DNA or RNA extraction can be performed manually or on automated platforms with equivalent results. The isolated viral DNA or RNA can be directly used in downstream applications such as amplification and enzymatic reactions without the need for further purification.
Features:
- Optimized for isolation from bacterial and viral samples.
- Magnetic bead-based chemistry with no centrifugation or filtration
- Rapid and reliable purification of nucleic acids
- Adaptable to various automated liquid handling workstations

Storage and Stability
The kit is shipped at ambient temperature. All components are stable for 12 months when stored accordingly. Magnetic Beads, Proteinase K Solution can be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) for 12 months, to prolong the shelf-life, storage at 2-8°C is recommended. LEM I are stable at 2-8°C (3 months). For longer storage, keep at -20°C. All other components can be stored at room temperature.
